Our West Dallas Home
In 1993, DHA built its headquarters in the heart of West Dallas, which was once the highest concentration of low-rise public housing in the country. During the mid-’90s DHA worked to remove the lead pollution in the neighborhood and redeveloped the land with new mixed-income single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments.
Our Education Foundation
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” – Benjamin Franklin
At DHA we believe in helping the families we serve achieve self-sufficiency, and education is critical to this goal. We are proud to have provided educational scholarships to our residents for more than 20 years, investing more than $1.5 million of non-federal funds raised by our team. This scholarship program has helped more than 1,200 students attending college across the country pursue their education.
