DHA Invites Property Owners To Submit Proposals for Project-based Vouchers for Seniors

AVAILABILITY OF UP TO 100 SECTION 8 PROJECT-BASED VOUCHERS FOR EXISTING HOUSING RENTAL HOUSING UNITS (SENIORS-ONLY)

FOR  PROJECT-BASED HOUSING VOUCHERS

DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas, known as the Dallas Housing Authority announces the availability of up to 100 Section 8 Project-Based Vouchers (PBV) for seniors-only rental housing units. This Request for Proposals (RFP) prefers high quality existing housing units for PBVs in seniors-only developments with robust supportive services.

DHA invites property owners to submit proposals. It is not necessary for a respondent to employ the services of a consultant to be awarded vouchers under this RFP.  Proposals submitted in response to this RFP must:

• Be for sites/units located in DHA areas of operation
• Request a minimum of five units for the PBV program
• Propose to serve households with members who are age 62 and older and who qualify for HUD rental housing assistance and supportive services as described in the RFP
• DHA or an independent third party will evaluate the quality and location of the prospective housing, the support services to be provided as well as the experience of the proposer and proposed services.

RFP packets will be available beginning Friday, February 10, 2023, at www.dhantx.com under the Procurement tab / Business Opportunities or at the DHA Procurement Department located at 3939 N. Hampton Rd., Dallas, Texas 75212.

RFP materials will be accessible through the DHA website or available at the DHA Headquarters during regular business hours.

The Proposal Submission deadline is 2:00 P.M., THURSDAY, March 16, 2023.  Proposals submitted in response to this RFP must be delivered to the DHA Procurement Department located at 3939 N. Hampton Rd., Dallas, Texas 75212.

Only proposals submitted by the deadline and meeting all of the requirements in the RFP will be considered. Incomplete and late submissions will not be accepted or reviewed. At the request of a proposer DHA will hold a debriefing to explain why a proposal was or was not selected for award.
