DHA Home Search Tool
DHA has developed a Home Search tool to assist Housing Choice Voucher families participating in the Walker program and the Children First North Texas program with locating homes in eligible areas. Eligible areas, called “Eligible Census Tracts”, are neighborhoods located in the following seven North Texas counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Rockwall and Tarrant counties.
To explore whether a potential house or unit is located in an eligible area, please use map below and enter the search bar the address of the home you are considering to see the result. If the address is not found:
- please check the spelling/accuracy of the address you entered, and perform the search again;
- alternatively, you can zoom into the map, and visually assess whether the address is within an eligible area (teal shade) or not (dark grey shade). Please note that the final determination will be made when DHA reviews your Request For Tenant Assistance packet and other relevant documentation.
