Marlina Nunez

Controller

Marlina Nunez is the controller for DHA. In her position, Marlina is responsible for the supervision of the DHA’s finance staff, overseeing all phases of accounting including budget management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management. Marlina and her team perform month-end and year-end closings, prepare financial reporting, and complete the year-end audit. She is also responsible for HUD Multifamily Real Estate Assessment Center submission and annual compliance report to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.

Directly involved in the preparation and reviews of DHA annual operating budgets, Marlina knows her team plays an important role in the success of the agency and she is honored to be in such a position. Since she joined the DHA team in 2005, Marlina has worked in accounts payable, and she has served as a senior accountant and senior component units accountant before moving into her current position as controller.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at Atma Jaya Catholic University in Jakarta, Indonesia, Marlina went on to earn an MBA with a concentration in finance from West Texas A&M University. Prior to joining DHA, Marlina served as an accounting administrator for a consulting company. Passionate about leadership and helping others, Marlina loves sharing her financial expertise and being a source of support to families, friends, and colleagues.
