Brenda Fonseca
Director of Housing Services, HCV Program
Brenda Fonseca has over 31 years of experience working in the public housing industry. As of 2019, Brenda Fonseca is the director of housing services in the Housing Choice Voucher Program at DHA. In her role, Brenda oversees department functions to achieve departmental missions and assure compliance of all activities with state and federal laws, as well as DHA policies and procedures.
Starting her career in 1985, Brenda’s first position was with the Lorain Metropolitan Housing Authority as an occupancy specialist. She was with the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority for 21 years and assisted the agency in maintaining their “High Performer” status under the Section Eight Management Assessment Program (SEMAP). Throughout the course of her career, Brenda has managed all aspects and components of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program, the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program and the Housing Quality Standards (HQS) Inspections.
Providing leadership, performance management, and problem resolution, Brenda is committed to housing families and encouraging self-sufficiency. As a natural collaborator, Brenda loves that she has the opportunity to interact with and learn from wonderful people every day. Outside of work, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching tennis and traveling.
