Mayor appoints new members to DHA’s Board of Commissioners

Michael D. Pegues and Sabrina Steward appointed by City of Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson

DALLAS, TX – October 19, 2020 –  DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas announced today that City of Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson has appointed two new members to its Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners is responsible for setting policy and financial oversight. Together, the Board of Commissioners and DHA’s executive leadership team set the mission, vision and strategy for the agency.

Michael D. Pegues is vice-chair of the Intellectual Property Litigation practice at Polsinelli with over 25 years of federal court litigation experience. He is also community-minded with service as a trustee of the St. Philip’s School and Community Center, Parish Episcopal School and the St. Mark’s School of Texas among other community-based organizations. Michael also currently serves as an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and Texas A&M University School of Law, where he teaches a course entitled, “Race and Intellectual Property.”

Sabrina Steward is the administrator of Missions & Outreach at Church of the Incarnation in Dallas where she oversees administrative operations and events for Incarnation’s Missions & Outreach department, including coordinating volunteers, purchasing and financial management, communications and managing inventory. She is a resident of DHA’s Roseland Estates and will serve as the resident liaison on the board.
