Children First North Texas Program (CFNTX) Featured by The Century Foundation

DHA, Housing Solutions for North Texas was recently featured in an article by The Century Foundation highlighting topics surrounding public housing.

The Century Foundation is one of the oldest public policy research institutes in the country that conducts research, develops solutions and drives policy change to improve people’s lives. It pursues economic, racial and gender equity in education, health care and work.

The piece features details on DHA’s Children First North Texas (CFNTX) program.

Dr. Myriam Igoufe, DHA’s vice president of policy and development research, highlighted the launch of the CFNTX program and its goal to relocate 1,000 families with children living in high-poverty, segregated neighborhoods. The program was launched to relocate these families to higher-opportunity environments in a seven-county area spanning across North Texas.

Currently, the CFNTX program has moved a handful of families and is set to move forward more rapidly once COVID-19-related suspensions are lifted.
