Judy Rooker is pleased with her experience with DHA thus far. She explains that working with DHA makes the most business sense for her, but she had not known the extent to which she would be helping the greater North Texas community until she made her own investment in DHA properties in January 2017. She manages several properties in Forney, Kaufman, Fiona, Princeton, Justin, and Denton County.
Now that she understands the difference she is making in so many people’s lives, her goal is to purchase more properties to contribute to the DHA Housing Choice Voucher program. Judy shares, “it feels great that I can help.”
Ms. Rooker has recommended that her friends become investors in DHA properties because she appreciates their timely payments. Additionally, Judy says that the tenants are great—they keep the property in good condition, and they pay their rent on the 1st or 2nd of every month.
Judy believes DHA is providing a very good program, and she would like to continue to be a part of it as an investor. “It’s a good thing,” she says, and she acknowledges the mutual benefits for her and DHA residents.
